Fill n’ Finish Thin is perfect for situations where traditional fillers fall short. Its low viscosity allows the product to penetrate deep into small cracks, open wood pores and micro-damage, where it creates a strong, durable repair. The product levels out evenly, stabilises the surface and dries to a crystal-clear finish.
Many guitar makers, restoration specialists and fine woodworkers use Fill n’ Finish Thin to stabilise wood surfaces, fill open pores and prepare surfaces for lacquering or polishing. The product penetrates the material and creates a stable base that improves both durability and the final finish.
Fill n’ Finish Thin is particularly well suited to open-pored woods such as mahogany, ash and walnut. You can also use it for veneer repairs, inlay work and decorative wooden details.
For best results – use together with GluBoost Accelerator
The Fill n’ Finish system cures slowly. GluBoost therefore recommends using the product together with one of the company’s accelerators. Apply thin layers and cure between each layer. This lets you build up the repair quickly and in a controlled way.
Once cured, the material gives a hard, crystal-clear and stable surface that still retains some flexibility. The combination is perfect for repairs where both strength and appearance matter. You can then sand the surface in stages, from coarse to fine grit, and finish by polishing to a high gloss. The result blends naturally into the surrounding surface.
